To have surgery with Dr Erb takes these 3 steps: 

1. A video telehealth consultation with Dr Erb
2. Surgery with Dr Erb in Irvine in Orange County in Southern California
3. Suture removal and video telehealth follow ups with Dr Erb

LOGISTICS FOR OUT OF TOWN PATIENTS

If you are from out of town, then we can do your surgery 1 of 3 ways:

1. Do surgery, then spend 1 night in the area of Orange County.

• Stay in the Southern California area. 
• Remove sutures 8 days after the procedure.  
• Stay in the area for 2 more days.
• Then fly home which is 10 days after the procedure.

2. Do surgery, then spend 1 night in the area of Orange County. 

• Fly or drive home the next day.
• Fly or drive back 8 days later for suture removal. 
• Stay in the area for 2 more days.
• Then fly or drive home which is 10 days after the procedure.

3. Do surgery, then spend 1 night in the area of Orange County.

• Fly or drive home the next day and let your sutures dissolve. 
• It can take anywhere from 14 to 30 days for the sutures to dissolve. If your sutures are taking longer than 14 days to dissolve, it can make the scar raised and thick which then takes longer for the scar to flatten and soften and smooth out.  
• On our telehealth appointment  10-12 days after surgery, Dr Erb can explain how you can pull out the sutures yourself using fine point tweezers and a 10x mirror if you desire.
