Meet Dr. Erb
Dr. Melanie Erb is a leading expert in Southern California in non-invasive botox, fillers, lasers, and advanced plastic surgery to the delicate eyelids and face.
Dr. Erb has been selected as a Southern California Super Doctor by Los Angeles Magazine every year since 2010 and was named as a Super Doctor by Pasadena Magazine during all her years in Pasadena. She has received both the Patients’ Choice Award and the Compassionate Doctor Award by Vitals almost every year since 2010.
Dr. Erb earned her B.A. from U.C.L.A. She earned her M.D. from U.C. Irvine. She did her internship in Surgery at U.C. Irvine. She completed her residency in Ophthalmology at U.C. Irvine. Dr. Erb finished her 2 year, ASOPRS-approved, fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery at Eyesthetica in Los Angeles.
Dr. Erb has been invited to speak at local, national, and international meetings to teach her skills to physicians around the world. She taught Ophthalmology residents at both U.C. Irvine and USC. she taught oculoplastic fellows at Eyesthetica. She has authored book chapters and articles for scientific journals.
She has performed thousands of oculoplastic procedures over the course of her career.
Dr. Erb was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area town of Los Gatos, California. She has lived in Southern California since 1983. She is married to John Erb, a corporate accountant and a fellow California native. She is a mother of two adult children: Tyler (daughter) and Brian (son). In her spare time, she enjoys listening to audiobooks and doing Zumba.

She completed her Ophthalmology residency at U.C. Irvine. She continued with two years of fellowship training in Oculoplastic Surgery at Eyesthetica, one of the few ASOPRS-approved training programs in the country. Her internship was in Surgery learning the subspecialities of Plastic Surgery, Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery), Neurosurgery, and Surgical Oncology.
Won awards for her outstanding eye research during her residency at U.C. Irvine. Invited to speak at local, national, and international meetings to teach her skills to physicians around the world. She has authored book chapters and articles for scientific journals.
